Dawn Hamilton, a Columbia University graduate, with a major in Art History started her career in fine art, working at museums such as The Whitney Museum of American Art, and El Museo del Barrio.
After several years, design, which had been a lifelong passion, came calling and Dawn enrolled in The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where she received a diploma in Residential Design. In 2002, Dawn launched DawnElise Interiors, gaining a professional membership in ASID and becoming a NCIDQ certified designer.
Dawn was a recipient of the “Design Star of Tomorrow” award, sponsored by Tiffany’s and the DCOTA, and was selected to participate in the “Designer’s Challenge” contest sponsored by “Palm Beach Cottages & Gardens”. Dawn’s work has been featured in “HGTV Ideas” and this spring her portfolio was highlighted on PBS’, “A Moment of Luxury with Bill Stubbs”.
